MY VALENTINE'S DAY WISHLIST

heart choker // love potion mug // heart sunglasses // pj set // xo ring // blossom lip gloss // love potion iphone case // comme de garcons sneakers //

GUYS! It's a little over halfway through January, which means it's basically February, which means it's BASICALLY Valentine's Day!!! SO! In the spirit of the month of luvvvv I thought I'd share my Valentine's Day wish list/gift guide for every price range! Brands like Ban.do and Forever 21 are already ALL OVER Valentine's Day gifts, which I LOVE.

Valentine's Day (besides Christmas) is my favorite holiday! It always has been and always will be. I have such great memories of my mom coming in to my second grade class with strawberry cupcakes with pink frosting and super cute little plastic hearts stuck into the tops, or always being decked out head to toe in pink and red, writing love letters to every person I knew late the night before, and stomach aches that never seemed to go away because I was never NOT eating some kind of chocolate or gummy candy. What's NOT to love?! And then last year I spent it with Nate which was super fun. All of us in my dorm are in long distance relationships and Valentine's Day is on a Tuesday this year, so I'm thinking we are going to order a few heart shaped pizzas, eat a lot of chocolate and watch a LOT of rom-coms. Sounds like the best girls night to me! Eeeeeeeep! I'm so excited! I hope this post at least sort of gets you in the spirit for the love month :) Happy Lovin! xo

2016 YEAR IN REVIEW!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Whether it was sitting on the couch watching the ball drop with your family or tearing up the dance floor, I hope y'all all rang in the new year in the best way possible :) I sure did! And in honor of it finally being 2017, I'd like to take this post to reminisce on a year that everyone around the world HATED, but I thought was pretty stellar, and for me personally, the best year yet :) I don't have any links to previous posts just cause, ehh general laziness, but I hope you enjoy these photos from the highlights of my past year!! Resolutions later to come this week...
Rang in the new year with my best best friends, watched Footloose and banged on pots and pans, wouldn't want to celebrate 2016 any other way.
Ally and I turned 18 on January 28th and showed off our adulthood by playin in the lotto. She won $5, I lost $3...
And to celebrate, an amazing party with all my friends in our new, yet still empty house! Best party ever with the best people on this PLANET!
I traveled somewhere tropical for the first time ever! Vieques, Puerto Rico, and with some of my squad making my experience 10000 times better.
Graduated high school with my best friends by my side the whole way through. I couldn't have asked for better friends to grow up with, you all are my sisters and for that I'm eternally grateful <3
We moved!!! Out of the house that held some of my most precious memories, secrets, and adventures, and into the city, ready for a new chapter of our lives :)
I attended my first ever music festival! Governor's Ball at Randall's Island in New York City!! Although most of it was spent muddy and wet, it was quite the experience and I'm excited to maybe hopefully return this year!
Visited New York City again with the group of the winners from the VMFA Teen Stylin' Fashion show!!! I created and modeled a garment based off of a piece of art in the museum and won a trip to NYC where I learned all about the fashion design industry. SUCH an amazing trip.
Went to New Orleans for the first time! A city full of color and somehow powdered sugar everywhere and beads in trees from decades past, I worked on helping my aunt with her new clothing line and visited family. Can't wait to go back! Mardi Gras...??
Although I didn't attend camp for the first time EVER this summer, I was able to make it back for the fourth of july and I'm so happy I did. My heart was so empty without it, but even the shortest visit was able to fill up the lil holes in my heart. So much love for you CMW <3
Nate and I traveled together for the first time to Boulder, Colorado, where we stayed with my sister and hiked, water parked, photographed, star gazed, ate amazing food, and fell in love all over again... hehehehe
Family trip to Savannah, Georgia to check out where I was about to head for the next four years!!!
Nothing is finer than bff day trips and adventures :)
The annual family beach trip was a hit as ALWAYS! And more so this year because EMMA was able to come!!! I cannot wait for next year :)
Once all my friendies went off to college and I still had a month to myself at home (quarter systems man) I went and visited Mimi in Dallas, Texas! I love everything about Dallas, the good food, the great museums, shopping, i could go on and on and on... but Mimi is by far the best part :)
This past fall I moved away from home and into my first ever COLLEGE DORM! Studying Fashion Marketing and Management with a minor in Fashion Journalism, I've plunged head first into art school and am loving every second. Not to mention that I'm meeting some of the coolest people and lifelong friends along the way :)
I voted in my first ever election at 18 for the first female presidential candidate. The future is STILL female. The next four years will be a doozy, but we GOT THIS!! Michelle 2020..??
Celebrated my favorite christmas by far with almost all my family in our new house. Here's to matching pajamas and too much hot coco :)
And I finished off the year by celebrating one full year around the sun dating Nate. I can honestly say I owe a lot of 2016 being so special to him <3
Overall, 2016 was an incredible year for me, full of milestones, amazing travels, falling in love, making fantastic memories and so much more. Now let's see 2017 top it, I have high hopes for this one :)

My Christmas Wishlist!

Friday, December 9, 2016

I'm sure you all can guess what this post is going to be about!!! As y'all know, December is upon us, which means CHRISTMAS IS UPON US! I've been home for a little over a week now and although none of my friends are here with me, I've done plenty of baking, visited my high school and have had a pretty good time being here :) My street is totally decked out in Christmas cheer with lights and tinsel and wreaths and all that christmasy jazz. I'm working on routing the ultimate tacky lights tour to take nate and my friends on once we get home. So if you're from the RVA area and know of any awesome tacky houses to visit please don't hesitate to comment below and let me know!

Anyway, as for my Christmas wishlist thangggg... These are just a few of the things that I want this year, boots, berets, a projector and a record player! Those are the main main things I'm asking for, yet above all, I feel like experiences, adventures, and memories are pretty much always better than material goods. So like concert tickets, trips and such are far more valuable than anything you can wrap in a box!

Silver Boots
Projector
Berets
Record Player
Albums- Crybaby, Made in the AM, Cleopatra, Art Angels, Hozier
Enamel Pins
Thigh High Boots

BUT I have a bunch of things coming for you this week! Until then, here are a few outfits I WISH I were wearing this season, and just in general. Unfortunatly, I'm not made of money....

Have a good day off! If not, It's only Monday! You'll make it! xo

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Wellll.... not quite yet, but so SO soon! It's weird to think that I'll be seventeen at the end of this month, but weirder that it means that I'm just a year away from being eighteen.... That's just wild to me...

If you've been reading for a while, you'll probably remember a little series I did last year called "The Birthday Chronicles" I made a list of sixteen things I wanted to do before my birthday and posted them under "The Birthday Chronicles". This year, as I'll be seventeen, I'll be doing seventeen posts :)

Here's the thing, I've slacked a little bit though, instead of taking advantage of the entire month to do my seventeen things I now only have ten days.... oops. But because of that I am going to let my bday chronicles go until February (my party is in Feb hehe), instead of just the 28th (my birthday). Also, I don't have to do these in order, these are just the things I want to do.

Without further ado, my list:
1. Share my wishlist (check!)
2. Buy the BEST birthday dress to wear on my day and totally rock it (obvi)
3. Go to a concert
4. Open an etsy shop
5. Paint my nails all different patterns
6. Check two Leo movies off my List
7. Deck out in my favorite color (pink, that wont be hard, wink)
8. Make homemade pizzas
9. See an R rated movie in theaters
10. Rock purple lipstick
11. Have fun with Bath Bombs
12. Draw a lot
13. Go Thrifitng
14. Start the transparent glasses trend
15. Make birthday sundaes with Ally
16.Go out to a fancy dinner
and..
17. Celebrate with all of my friends and family :)

Here's to another fabulous year of my beautiful wonderful life! <33 xo

champagne and pale pink

Alice Olivia summer crop top / Delpozo woven pants / Flat pumps / Givenchy pink shoulder bag / Studded jewelry, $10 / MARC BY MARC JACOBS cream jewelry / MARC BY MARC JACOBS round metal sunglasses / Mac cosmetics lipstick / Essie nail polish / Catseye London 'Comic Woman' Coin Pouch

Happy Friday beautiful people!! Today I wanted to share with you a style I have loved for the longest time ever... It's what I like to call "classy-business-woman-meets-intelligently-chic-high-fashion-beautiful-woman" The best of both wolds... am I right? I'm so right. The classy business woman is in her high waisted work trousers and cute office shoes and bag, but her high fashion wonder woman plays in with her sequins and quirky fun loving coin purse and necklace... haha I am sort of making this description up as I go, please bare with me... However I really have always loved the color combo of champagne and pale pink, I think it's so flirty yet sophisticated, I dunno maybe just the color "champagne" makes me think sophisticated and grown up... yeah that sounds pretty accurate...
What are your favorite color combos? Comment Below!!

Dressing Up A Pixie Cut

Shirts top, $45 / Mauro Grifoni zip jacket, $880 / Black moto jacket, $140 / Highwaisted skinny jeans / Black and white romper, $39 / Chiara Ferragni stretch shoes / Monki vegan handbag, $27 / Vintage gold necklace / Frette black hat

The Pixie Cut.
Iconic, trendy, chic, stylish, adorable, feminine, edgy, perfect.
In this moment and time, and forever and ever really all I have been able to think about is getting a Pixie Haircut. I cannot begin to tell you how much I crave short hair. I grew up living with a pixie cut, once I got to like fourth grade that's when I started to let it grow out, but to its longest barely skimming my shoulders... With the Pixie being so "in style" right now it is the perfect time to get it, and it's summer, and the last thing I want is hot hair on the back of my neck, gross, sweaty, ewww...
What do you think? Leave a Comment!

I'm seeing green!! I have always loved a mint/seafoamish shade but after recently being told that "my color is green" like what I look good in etc. I have subconciously gravitated towards green things, especially pale light green shades.

Hey everyone! I hope you have been having a great week so far, I am happy to say that this week is almost over and the weekend will be here before we know it! And the same goes for summer! I have been craving camp and savoring every minute of days off. But of course on those days off I have been pretty lazy with taking photos which I am guessing you've noticed... So for this week be expecting some posts of old photos from earlier in the year...

As for this post however, I wanted to share with you a style I have been loving lately! It's kind of an edgy look mixed with a sweet peppy look. So a leather moto jacket with orange lipstick and polka dots. I love it. And I am also now realizing that whilst I was making this that this weekend it is going to start getting really hot like in the 90s... I'm not sure how much I really  want to be wearing a leather jacket... but ehh we'll see... What are your weekend plans? xoxolivia.

p.s. Yoncé is god. I actually just got around to watching her music videos and listening to her new music and I am obsessed. I have always loved Beyoncé but now the level of love has been upgraded 10000 notches. Praise.

What I Wish I Were Wearing This Spring / Summer

Easter

Topshop crop shirt / Ted Baker cape coat, $165 / Pink skirt, $250 / Jeffrey Campbell nude flat / Dolce Gabbana red leather purse, $725 / MARC BY MARC JACOBS geometric jewelry / Roxy hat / Monki heart shaped sunglasses, $14 / Illesteva round glasses, $335 / Karen walker eyewear, $270 / 2b metal belt / Forever 21 lip gloss / Viktor Rolf viktor rolf perfume, $160

This Spring I want to wear lots of orange, pink, and peach tones. Not only are they my favorite colors but they are so happy and cheery. I love it! I make all of my collection posts on Polyvore and everything that I love seems to be super expensive... So keep in mind, that my collections aren't things I will actually be wearing, but trying to restyle and recreate.  I plan to wear skirts just about everyday, as I do now, but with flowey long kimonos or shalls. I adore that look! And oh the sunhats!! I am a total hat person no matter what, I have a pretty vast collection now, and it just continues to grow!
sprinagg

Dolce Gabbana slim fit shirt / Blue kimono, $67 / Carven button shirt / Forever 21 shorts / By Malene Birger floral shorts, $275 / Topshop black shoes / Lacoste blue purse / Floppy hat, $37 / Illesteva round sunglasses

I. Want. Dolphin. Shorts. Dolphin shorts are the ones on the right, they are breezy and have a little curve slit on the side. I have tried many on in the past but have never actually bought any. They are so comfortable! I am a total sucker for anything floral. But the thing is it's a specific floral I absolutely love and that is the sort of fancy floral, not like a cheapy floral. That doesn't really make sense does it...? I like water colored floral patterns. So yeah I'd kill for a pair of swingy shorts like those orange ones in the middle, they are just too cute!! Basic sandals and a tote make any outfit complete.
suits

Ted Baker underwire swimsuit, $115 / We Are Handsome swimsuit swimwear / STELLA McCARTNEY swimsuit swimwear / We Are Handsome swimsuit swimwear / Topshop bikini swimwear / Topshop bikini / River Island bikini swimwear, $27 / American Eagle Outfitters underwire swimsuit / River Island bikini swimwear, $20 / Ted Baker halter top / John Lewis underwire swimsuit, $47 / Gorgeous white bikini, $13 / Bikini swimwear, $25 / River Island bikini swimwear, $10 / Ice King and Gunter Swimsuit LIMITED

Swimwear!!! I love patterned swimsuits. I am a total advocate to mixing and matching bikinis of far off patterns. It is so much more fun that way!! I just got my first pair of high waisted bikini bottoms a couple weeks ago, I got them in black because I wanted to be able to really pair them with everything and these were kinda pricey, but they were a gift so. (Thanks Sunni <3) I have always had so much respect for the curvy women who wear spectacular one pieces, and know it looks great, and feel confident in a swimsuit and their figures. And the thing about one piece bathing suits is that it really accentuates every beautiful curve and makes your body look great!! I don't have many cool patterned one pieces like these at the moment, but I really want to own some of my own! Especially some of Black Milk's Adventure Time suits!!! Obsessed!

Well that's all for today on what I wish I were wearing this season... 'till next time! xoxolivia.
