REDESIGNING MY ROOM WITH PHOTOWALL!

Sunday, May 24, 2020

Hey guys!
I'm super excited to share my AWESOME room redo! This has been the absolute best activity to do during quarantine. I never thought I could put up wallpaper myself, but Photowall seriously made it so easy! They sent me all of the supplies and it was so much fun!
Here's what my room looked like before, as you can see it's kind of all over the place. I was really getting tired of the mix matched aesthetic-less vibe of my room, it was time to bring it all together, this was the perfect opportunity to do so!

There were soooo many different wallpapers to choose from, honestly it was SO hard to decide. You can see some more of my favorites here, I narrowed it down to the Land of Coco paper and I'm in LOVE! It feels like my room is a little forest! Photowall actually has much more than just wallpaper too! Check out their art prints and posters too!
The process was actually pretty easy, like I said, they sent all of the supplies and I felt like a real life pro!! You can see the actual process in this whole video!
Thank you so, so much to PhotoWall! You can get 25% off until June 7th with the code "olivebarrett" and you too can have a room as AWESOME as mine!
Share any photos with me if you end up ordering some paper yourself! Have fun!!

New Room

Sup Fam! Hope y'all had a great week! Mine's been pretty stressful if I'm honest, it's been hot and rainy, I've been cooped up in my room working on my garment for the VMFA fashion show next week and in the theater either running lines and preforming in my schools spring show or rehearsing for the Censations concert this Sunday. Busy Busy BUSY! It's honestly nice to take a break from the glue gun and script to sit down and blog. Phew it's been a while... How are you guys?

I've had this skirt forEVER, but for some reason it NEVER comes out of my closet. Why not? Who knows... It's so amazing though that's for sure. I didn't add any photos of me twirling in it but it's basically just a HUGE circle skirt (I actually blogged it once before, lol at this post) And then of course, the top isn't a top, but a bodysuit, okay... it's a bathing suit... That's like the same thing... right? Right.
Oh! Also, these photos were taken on the balcony that's off of my new room in our new house! How COOL! I'm so hype to move! YAY!

Good morning! As many of you may know if you've been reading here for a while, I'm moving this spring!! WOW! Come to think of it, our move out date is way sooner than I thought, I need to get started packing! Anyway, I was blog hopping, as usual, and came across a post on I Suwannee about wall paper and immediately fell in love with the idea of doing wallpaper on one of my walls in my new room! I know that I still want to do all the photo gallery walls like I have in my current room in my new room, just not as heavy. I want my room to feel fresh and open. It's much smaller than my room now so I want to keep things bright. Let me know what to think of these papers!!

above Constellation wallpaper
I love how happy and cute these polka dots are!! These colorful dots would TOTALLY liven up any room (especially my new one hehehe)
 Here's some floral paper!
I love love luuuuuuvvvvvvvvvv this bold paper. In an entire room it may be a little harsh but on a single wall it would be perfect!
I was also thinking I want to incorporate lost of plants and greenery, so wallpaper could help with that too! Here are some of my favorites :)

Welcome To The Jungle paper
 Palm Leaves Paper
Leaf Love paper
Crown of Dill paper- this has got to be one of my favorites :)
 Cacti!!!
And of course, pink isssss my favorite color, so these are also fun!

Paradise Breeze paper

Let me know what you guys think! Do you like wallpaper? Do you like home-inspo posts? Lemmmmeeee knowwwww so I can give y'all the good stuff! :)

Hello! The other day while I was cleaning my room I realized it's been a really long time since I did my last room tour (1, 2) and since I'm moving pretty soon, I thought why not give you a last look before things change. Better late then never right? Let me know what you think :)

Gooooooooooood Morning! So I've got some exciting news!
are you ready?
are you sureee...?
OKAY IF YOU SAY SO!
IM MOVING!
Yay!! I've been so excited to tell you guys this for a while now but had to wait for everything to be officially offfical if you know what I mean. Luckily, we are still staying in Richmond, but out of suburbia and into The Fan! If you know me or have been reading here for a while, you'd know that my best friend Ally lives there and I've been so in love with that part of town since ninth grade when I met Ally. And the best part?! I'm only three blocks away from her! THREE BLOCKS! (sort of...) But hey, that's WAY better than our old fifteen minutes!!

Anyway, even though it won't be a while until we actually move in (the old owners have to move out then we are doing some renovations etc etc) I'm already getting excited on how to decorate my room. Here's the thing, I will essentially be moving twice in a year, into my new house, and into college. woooooooo... But hey I LOVE decorating so it will be fun :) Here's some inspiration that I've picked up off various corners of the internet. My room now is very colorful and bright, which I LOVE, but I'm really digging the minimalistic chill lofty vibe that these photos have. My room is similar to some of these, in the way that the celing is slanted and stuff like that. Let me know what you think!!!!

DIY: Cotton Ball Garlands!!!

Saturday, January 3, 2015

The other day, while eating lunch with my brother in Ellwoods, I noticed some of their holiday decorations... they had marshmallows strung from the ceiling!! I really loved how it looked, so I replicated it, but in my own way. Take a look!
 What you need:
-Assorted white buttons
-White string (embroidery floss aka friendship bracelet making string)
-Cotton Balls
-A needle to thread it all together
The cotton balls will stay in the place you want. Just to be safe, I tied a knot at the bottom of the string, but not under each ball, your choice.

String in the buttons as you please as well, those you'll need to just look through a few times and they'll stay also.
There you have it! I really love mine, at first I wanted to make a bunch and hang them from my celing like they did in the restaurant, but I like them just over my bathroom door :) Enjoy!

And if you ever make something from my blog, don't forget to tag me on Instagram and with the tag, #allthoselittlethingsblog :))

I organized them into five piles of: art, body parts, words, people, and landscapes/nature
I had mostly people
