Happy Saturday chickadees! It's Fashion Weekend here at SCAD, which means a whole HECK of a lot of fashionygoodness! Last night was the big SCAD Fashion Show and although I didn't have a ticket, I was able to hit the streets and take photos of what everyone was wearing! However, I did manage to sort of sneak in through the architecture building and watch from a spiral staircase far away, you do what you can for fashion ya know? Anyway, I loved all the looks in the show and I love how everyone really went all out to go! This was my first shot at taking street style photos, it was a lot of fun! There's always next year :) Enjoy! xo, O
This was my view... hahahhaah It wasn't that bad... Well, there's always next year! Until then :)

Happy Happy Thursday everyone! See posting everyday isn't too hard!! Okay, yeah yeah, granted I'm on spring break doing literally nothing but blogging, but HEY! I'm doing well right?! Right ;)
I'm super excited to share this new feature with you all called "Style Profile". I'm sure you can guess what it is just by the name and the look of the post already, but regardless, I'm still excited! Basically I'm constantly being inspired by other people and their personal styles every single day, and I'm always curious as to how they found their styles and what makes them a fashionista etc. etc. etc. SO why not share this inspiration with y'all!?

Well let's get started!! Today's spotlight is fellow Richmonder, ultra groovy 70's inspired blogger/Etsy shop owner, and MEGA fashionista Tori Radday. Tori and I got together yesterday, took some stellar photos and talked a little bit about her personal style! Read more to learn all about this magical gal!!

Styling Chokers

Hat- Forever 21 // dress- American Apparel // glasses- Beacon's Closet // shoes- Mod and Soul // chokers- the Future on Forsyth

HAPPY SUNDAY everyone :) If you have two eyes and have seen any girl (or guy) in the past year or so, you've noticed that everyone and their mother is always wearing chokers. What's up with that? That's sooooo nineties! Well yeah the first chokers that came back in trend a little over a year and a half ago were the tattoo chokers, and I'm sorry but I just couldn't get on the trend bandwagon. Honestly I haven't been able to climb aboard the Choker Express until very VERY recently. I always thought that with my short hair and long neck and largeish jaw, i don't know I just couldn't ever fully commit, I just always thought they looked weird or I just couldn't "pull them off". But then of course I reminded myself that the only way one can "pull something off" is to simply put it on, and just by showing that you're confident, others will see that and think to themselves, "wow look at her go, I wish I could pull that off." little do they know they CAN!

so ANYWAY! I got these chokers from a cool thrift store here in Savannah called The Future on Forsyth, and REALLY dig them. I have another Postcards From Savannah post coming this week and there are some photos from Future in there :) But yeah so for this look I staked two chokers on top of each other for some extra ~*pizzaz*~  and really like the way it turned out! This outfit is probably one of the more trendy things I've worn in a while, but so are chokers so there you go! It's sort of an edgy boho meets the "I only shop at Urban Outfitters" vibe, ya know?

Life lately has been busy busy BUSY as always but SO fantastic too :) I'll update y'all on everything in that post to come :) Have a fantastic week! xo

Dressing Up A Pixie Cut

Shirts top, $45 / Mauro Grifoni zip jacket, $880 / Black moto jacket, $140 / Highwaisted skinny jeans / Black and white romper, $39 / Chiara Ferragni stretch shoes / Monki vegan handbag, $27 / Vintage gold necklace / Frette black hat

The Pixie Cut.
Iconic, trendy, chic, stylish, adorable, feminine, edgy, perfect.
In this moment and time, and forever and ever really all I have been able to think about is getting a Pixie Haircut. I cannot begin to tell you how much I crave short hair. I grew up living with a pixie cut, once I got to like fourth grade that's when I started to let it grow out, but to its longest barely skimming my shoulders... With the Pixie being so "in style" right now it is the perfect time to get it, and it's summer, and the last thing I want is hot hair on the back of my neck, gross, sweaty, ewww...

What I Wish I Were Wearing This Spring / Summer

Easter

Topshop crop shirt / Ted Baker cape coat, $165 / Pink skirt, $250 / Jeffrey Campbell nude flat / Dolce Gabbana red leather purse, $725 / MARC BY MARC JACOBS geometric jewelry / Roxy hat / Monki heart shaped sunglasses, $14 / Illesteva round glasses, $335 / Karen walker eyewear, $270 / 2b metal belt / Forever 21 lip gloss / Viktor Rolf viktor rolf perfume, $160

This Spring I want to wear lots of orange, pink, and peach tones. Not only are they my favorite colors but they are so happy and cheery. I love it! I make all of my collection posts on Polyvore and everything that I love seems to be super expensive... So keep in mind, that my collections aren't things I will actually be wearing, but trying to restyle and recreate.  I plan to wear skirts just about everyday, as I do now, but with flowey long kimonos or shalls. I adore that look! And oh the sunhats!! I am a total hat person no matter what, I have a pretty vast collection now, and it just continues to grow!
sprinagg

Dolce Gabbana slim fit shirt / Blue kimono, $67 / Carven button shirt / Forever 21 shorts / By Malene Birger floral shorts, $275 / Topshop black shoes / Lacoste blue purse / Floppy hat, $37 / Illesteva round sunglasses

I. Want. Dolphin. Shorts. Dolphin shorts are the ones on the right, they are breezy and have a little curve slit on the side. I have tried many on in the past but have never actually bought any. They are so comfortable! I am a total sucker for anything floral. But the thing is it's a specific floral I absolutely love and that is the sort of fancy floral, not like a cheapy floral. That doesn't really make sense does it...? I like water colored floral patterns. So yeah I'd kill for a pair of swingy shorts like those orange ones in the middle, they are just too cute!! Basic sandals and a tote make any outfit complete.
suits

Ted Baker underwire swimsuit, $115 / We Are Handsome swimsuit swimwear / STELLA McCARTNEY swimsuit swimwear / We Are Handsome swimsuit swimwear / Topshop bikini swimwear / Topshop bikini / River Island bikini swimwear, $27 / American Eagle Outfitters underwire swimsuit / River Island bikini swimwear, $20 / Ted Baker halter top / John Lewis underwire swimsuit, $47 / Gorgeous white bikini, $13 / Bikini swimwear, $25 / River Island bikini swimwear, $10 / Ice King and Gunter Swimsuit LIMITED

Swimwear!!! I love patterned swimsuits. I am a total advocate to mixing and matching bikinis of far off patterns. It is so much more fun that way!! I just got my first pair of high waisted bikini bottoms a couple weeks ago, I got them in black because I wanted to be able to really pair them with everything and these were kinda pricey, but they were a gift so. (Thanks Sunni <3) I have always had so much respect for the curvy women who wear spectacular one pieces, and know it looks great, and feel confident in a swimsuit and their figures. And the thing about one piece bathing suits is that it really accentuates every beautiful curve and makes your body look great!! I don't have many cool patterned one pieces like these at the moment, but I really want to own some of my own! Especially some of Black Milk's Adventure Time suits!!! Obsessed!

Well that's all for today on what I wish I were wearing this season... 'till next time! xoxolivia.
