Hello Tuesday! It's officially officially spring and things are feeling great here in RVA, the sun is shining, its just about 65º and spring is here to stay :) Although I'm not ready to go back to Savannah, it's already 90º there and that's just insanity, it's like spring never sprung, it just skipped straight to summer I guess!

Anyway, I wanted to FINALLY show off this outfit because I MADE IT! I'm no expert seamstress, but I'm pretty proud of myself :) I made the set over the summer and have yet to even wear it until now! I got the fabric from Mood when I went to NYC early last summer and am so happy to be wearing my creation out and about!

This past quarter I took a fashion technology class where I made a skirt, a blouse and a jacket which I will show off to you all sometime soon, but I'm super excited to start making more of my own clothes too! What do y'all think? Do you like?

It's a Neoprene fabric and I only bought a yard and a half to make all this, say WHAT?! Yes! The top is made up of six pieces and two long straps, the skirt is seven pieces. I wish I had a pattern to share with y'all so you could make your own, but I sort of just made it up based of of clothes I already had! Next time I promise I will!!

ALSO! I re-dyed my hair yesterday myself, what do you think? I though brightening it up, and boosting the ombré would be fun for spring :)

Happy Tuesday y'all :)
I have been SO busy lately, and with business, often comes stress. I know quite a few people are in the same freaked out/stressed out boat as I am right now so I thought I'd share some good vibe collages I made. I had such a great time making these and they feature my favorite things! Favorite friends, places, people, art, etcetera etcetera etceteraa!!

I have a lot of photos and a video from Colorado still in the works and on the way, so stay tuned for that hopefullllllly (no promises) it will be here this weekend :) However I have a heck of a lot going on: two graduations, banquet, exams, SAT ish... WOOHOO! Ohhhh mannnn.... this time of the year is the best and the worst. You've got beautiful weather and summer is SO close, but school is coming to a close, which means teachers cramming in tests and projects ALL.THE.TIME. and EXAMS AND JUST UGH! okay okay okay this is supposed to be a positive thinking post... so back to that... xo!

Hey guys! I love love LOVE to draw. Alright I can't draw anything realistic to save my life, but I have been drawing a lot lately and it really brings me joy. Whether it's in school (sorry ma) or at home I'm constantly doing it. I'll be honest, 99.9 percent of the time it's gals just doing nothing, but it's my thing, ya know?
Something exciting: Two Christmas' ago my sister bought for me a Bamboo tablet. I've only used it to edit and write on my photos, but today I drew on it. Okay okay, they're a bit pixel-y, but that's okay! I'm learning! And totally loving it ;)

Vintage-ish waves tutorial

Hey guys, today I thought I'd mix it up a little bit and show you a hair tutorial! People think that with short hair there isn't much you can do, but there's so much you can do! I love braiding my bangs, but I also found out a cute way to curl them to get a 20s-esque effect.
All you need is a small curler (or larger depending on your hair length, this also works with long hair, but it wont look at 20s) and a brush!
 1. Separate your hair into sections, top middle and bottom, for the best effect
2. Okay, so to curl your hair, clip the top of the strand, and then wrap the rest around like you're using a curling wand. And do it upside down. I know it sounds weird, but that's how it works. Make sure you are curling in the same direction.
Do that to your entire head
 Awesome!
 3. Brush out the curls. Don't freak! They'll stay in place
That's it! Accessorize to your lil hearts content <3

DIY: Cotton Ball Garlands!!!

The other day, while eating lunch with my brother in Ellwoods, I noticed some of their holiday decorations... they had marshmallows strung from the ceiling!! I really loved how it looked, so I replicated it, but in my own way. Take a look!
 What you need:
-Assorted white buttons
-White string (embroidery floss aka friendship bracelet making string)
-Cotton Balls
-A needle to thread it all together 
The cotton balls will stay in the place you want. Just to be safe, I tied a knot at the bottom of the string, but not under each ball, your choice.

String in the buttons as you please as well, those you'll need to just look through a few times and they'll stay also.
There you have it! I really love mine, at first I wanted to make a bunch and hang them from my celing like they did in the restaurant, but I like them just over my bathroom door :) Enjoy!

Make Marble Watercolor Dishes!

I don't know about you, but I love anything marbled. I think it's just the prettiest! For Christmas this year I made my grandma these dishes to put around her house for whenever she needs to take off her rings to do something she wont ever loose them :)
 Here's what you'll need:
-WHITE (a fair amount) and black oven bake clay, along with other colors of your choosing
-a few oven safe bowls
-an oven (obvi)
-something to roll the clay out with, I used a large jar
 First, roll out some strips of clay
 Roll a few together and then twist all of them together. Then roll those up into a ball
 To get a watercolor affect really work the colors in so they look blended
 Then roll that out, if you need it a bit bigger, just stretch it with your hands
 I used the bottom of ramekins to shape mine, but you choose.
And lastly, bake them for 10 minutes at 275! Based on the power of your oven, you can adjust that as you please, just watch them because if they get too hot they, will crack. (oh no!!) They will feel like hard rubber when they are cooled.

Hello!
I am not sure whether or not I like the oh so infamous "boyfriend jeans" I would always get them in a store to try on, try them on and realize, wait... what is this..?? Magazines and other bloggers seem to rave about them, but they are just so unflattering, not to mention they are light jeans! Which is already unflattering enough... but hey, I got these ugly looking pants from Goodwill that originally were cuffed up to the knee, just one fold, and not distressed at all. Oh, and the cuff was flared. Cute... but not for me. So I messed with them and now I think I like them! 
What are your thoughts on boyfriend jeans, and in addition to that, pairing jeans with a jean jacket?
I love a joutfit! (jean-outfit)
