HELLO and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

It's that time of year, the most wonderful time of year! HOLIDAY TIME!! Whether it's for Christmas, Hanukkah, or you're just in the gift giving mood, it's present season!! What a better way to kick off the season here with a cheap and easy gift guide. Nothing is better than a stress free holiday, so get your gifts soon to eliminate any last minute stress... because no one needs that this time of year!!

These are all gifts under $15, so they are pretty affordable. Honestly it's hard to find good things online from reputable stores that are super duper cheap. But I thought you know what, some of these could be stocking stuffers, some stand alone gifts! I have burnt through a few of these Capri Blue Volcano candles and let me tell you, they are the best smelling candles I've ever had. You've probably seen them at stores like Anthropologie and Altr'd State, but I could only find it under $15 on Amazon. I'm serious though, if you don't get this for a friend, treat yourself, it's worth it and so are you.

For the beauty guru- Glossier $14
When I was in New York a bit ago I went to the Glossier showroom and tried this lip gloss, it truly is the glossiest. I personally don't own any Glossier products, but everyone I know who does loves it and swears by it, it's fantastic!! Do your beauty loving friend a favor and get them this gloss so all their high gloss dreams can finally come true!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays, that and Valentine's Day, and Christmas of course, but not counting Christmas, it's always either Halloween or Valentine's Day... Anyway, since today is Halloween AND Ten Things Tuesday, I thought I would do a Halloween round up, sharing some of my favorite Halloween costumes, DIYs, movies, and foods!! I know obviously it's technically too late to do these, but it's more just in the spirit of Halloween :)
Enjoy! I hope your Halloween was spooktacular!

COSTUMES:

1. Rock Candy
Of course I had to start off the costumes portion with a Studio DIY costume, and this rock candy costume absolutely stole my heart away when I first saw it!! 100% my favorite, SO original and fun!

2. Burrito with Guac
This easy last minute costume from AwwSam is too cute for words, and with experience working at chipotle and having to say "Guac is extra is that okay" 15,00000000000 times a day, I respect all those who say up front that they know...

3. Dollar Store DIY Costumes (especially Lemonade)
I've been a follower of With Wendy on Youtube for forever, she makes clothes and does other cute DIYs and is so totally awesome. This video is actually from last year, and not even from her channel, but it was too iconic to not add in this years round up.

4. Flamingo + Cactus

Okay... So I couldn't get away with not sharing another Studio DIY costume... but you guys, HOW CAN YOU RESIST BABY ARLO!!! Literally the cutest baby I've ever seen, and in a cactus costume?! I mean... come on. Kelly always comes up with the best costume ideas, and just DIY ideas in general, highly recommend checking out her blog. 

DIYs:

5. Skull String Art
An A Beautiful Mess classic DIY. String art is actually so much easier than it seems and way cheap. Totally recommend this for any DIY! I've made them before saying words, doing hearts, and all sorts of other shapes. Try it!!

6. Creative Pumpkins

This year when carving pumpkins I just went for the classic jack-o-lantern smile, but I so so so love how creative some people are getting with pumpkin decorating these days! It's not just about carving anymore y'all! 

MOVIES: The links I have below are to the movies on Netflix, not sure if it will work since I'm signed into my account, but it you have Netflix, hopefully it does!!!

7. Coraline
I first saw Coraline in 8th grade and remember being thoroughly freaked out. It's creepy, and spooky, and so clever and interesting all at the same time. It's the perfect Halloween movie if you aren't into horror or anything too ridiculous like that.

8. The Nightmare Before Christmas

So this can either be a Halloween or Christmas movie, and it's just that good that watching it twice a year is completely acceptable, I know we have in my house at least!! This musical is so much fun and funny. 10/10 would recommend.

FOOD:

9. Mummy Pumpkin Truffles
Ahhh yes, the food category, my favorite. How CUTE are these little mummy dudes?! They're almost too cute to eat (but not really) And better yet, they're pumpkin cheesecake truffles on the inside, omg I'm salivating just thinking about it!!!

10. Ghostly Pizzas!
On Halloween we practically overdose on sweets, so it's nice to have a savory snack to break that up! These ghost pizzas are perfect for that! Because who doesn't love pizza, and who doesn't love SPOOKY PIZZA?!?!? Crazy people I guess...

Hello everyone, happy Tuesday :)

I've really come to love doing Ten Things Tuesday here for you guys, and I'm especially excited to share THIS one with y'all! I realize I always say that... but I'm serious. 

Today is world Mental Health Day (mental health awareness day?) ((something like that)) So I thought I would share some self affirmations. When it comes to mental health, the best way to care for yourself and make sure you are in the right mindset is to know that YOU come first, that YOU are loved and so so important! SO these ten things are things I believe you should say to yourself every now and then, (everyday even!!) to remind yourself how wonderful you are! Let's get into it!

1. My personality exudes confidence. I am bold and outgoing

2. My world is a peaceful, loving, and joy-filled place to live

3. I am unique. I feel good about being alive and being me

4. I approve of myself and love myself deeply and completely

5. My body is healthy; my mind is brilliant; my soul is tranquil

6. I acknowledge my own self-worth; my confidence is soaring

7. Today, I am brimming with energy and overflowing with joy

8. My thoughts are filled with positivity and my life is plentiful with prosperity

Happy Tuesday!! As I'm writing this I'm sitting in my bed, with the lights off, wondering how the heck I'm going to be able to blog everyday. Everyday I get swamped with new assignments and a heavier work load, honestly it's crazy...

BUT! I'm here, and I'm READY to share with you my ten things for this week, and in honor of the new month, I thought I'd look back on September and give you my top ten September faves!

So what are you waiting for? Let's get into this!!

1. Curly Bangs
Before I get that text from my best friend Ally saying, "DO NOT CUT BANGS" when she reads this, please note that I am not cutting bangs any time soon, or ever again... BUT I am obsessed with the look of a short hair cut with curly top bangs, it's soooo flirty and fun.

2. Confetti Balloons
Just you wait... I've purchased some on Etsy, it's all happening... get excited.

3. The Diplomat
I plan on going and doing a full Savannah Spotlight on this spot, but until then... It's a tiny lil sandwich shop that just opened two weeks ago and I kid you NOT has the best avocado toast ever. I never thought I'd be into the combination of pickled radishes, dill, and pumpkin seeds... but oh man, oh man oh man it's delicious. More to come on that soon.

4. Old Photos
I was recently stalking my mom on Facebook (hi mama) as one does... and I never realized how many cute old photos she had on there of my siblings and me when we were young! It's funny because I didn't even know this photo existed, yet once seeing it I'm taken back to that exact moment at the beach. I love that!

5. Starry Eyes
Stars have been very trendy lately, and for a good reason, they are stellar! I want to get permanent star makeup installed on my face so I always shine... Seems legit, right?

6. Lucy Moon's 168 Hours
Lucy Moon is the oh so adorable, very British Youtuber who sometimes vlogs here and there, and let me tell you, they are my favorite. I really just love her so much, and then her edits and everything, it's great. Give her a watch for sure.

7. My Dorm
A few weeks ago I moved into a new dorm with a complete stranger and a closed mind. But after almost three weeks of living here, lemme update you: I absolutely LOVE living here. I live in Oglethorpe House, which is SO centrally located, my roommate is super duper nice and everything is fabulous! Everything seriously worked out for the best :)

8. Yellow for Fall
I've always loved yellow, so naturally I'm LOVING the yellow for fall trend that's happening right now. Above are links to some yellow pieces I'm currently coveting, shop your lil heart out!! Yellow is IN!

9. My New Kicks
I got these shoes right before I went off to school and I'm seriously in LOVE! I get so many complements on them whenever I wear em out. You can't really tell in this photo, but they are SPARKLY! Like seriously so sparkly, the perfect personality shoe (is that even a thing? well it is now)

10. Lana Del Rey
If you know me, you know I've always been a lil obsessed with my mama Lana. WELL! Earlier this week tickets for her 2018 US tour went on sale, so naturally I'd been listening to her new and old albums and everything else in between, leading up to the sale and then ever since then, and totally jiving. And yes, I DID get tickets to see her and I'm beyOND EXCITED!!!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE! Happy Tuesday :)
This week I'm FINALLY going back to school, it's been forever and a day, but finally heading back to Savannah on Friday and I cannot wait. Fall is on it's way, I'm starting a new year, and change is just in the AIR. SO! This week I thought it might be suiting to have my ten things be ten things I'm looking forward to. Let's get into it!
*
1. Starting my classes and meeting new professors 
Because nothing beats a fresh start. Getting to know new classmates, really being organized and on top of things in the start of the quarter, reading all the chapters and doing all the assignments, not yet slacking or sliding (not that I ever do that or anything...)

2. Walking on the beach barefoot at night
We are less than 30 minutes from Tybee Island, and I really did not go there enough last year, I want to eat some pizza and hold hands with someone as we walk along the shoreline and watch the moon rise, I live for the cliches y'all, just let it happen.

3. All nighters 
Okay so it's wild and stressful in the moment, but I love how crazy jam packed my schedules get at SCAD, how my work ethic goes through the roof and I have to skip classes just to do more work and get ahead, I'm excited to stay up all night jamming to throwback Miley Cyrus, eating gummy worms and creating something amazing.

4. Bella Napoli gnocchi
This one tiny restaurant on the corner of this one square with the best gnocchi in the entire world and pillow-like bread. I cannot wait to eat it all.

5. Going on dates with someone new 
Last year at SCAD I was in a long distance relationship, but things have changed quite a bit, and I'm really, really looking forward to dating, going out to dinner, on walks, studying with someone new, and who knows maybe even falling in love! Ahh! Who knows, regardless of what happens, I'm excited! No more waiting around for someone to text me back or counting down days until a stressful visit. Only gooooood vibes and luv.

6. Doing what I want when I want
I'm able to go out when I want and not have to bring my phone around with me everywhere, I'm excited to live my own life as a college kid in Savannah on my own agenda, I'm a sophomore now, I know the lay of the land and I'm excited to live it up!

7. Meeting new people
Last year I kind of kept to myself, I found a tiny group of friends and didn't get out much, not this year though y'all, I'm going to branch out and really meet new people, and I really cannot freaking wait.

8. Sweaters
Soooo maybe it's still sweltering in Savannah, but in November and when I come home I am HYPE for chunky sweaters. I've been trying to find the perfect one, and once I do, just y'all wait, I'm going to wear the heck out of that sweater! I live for chunky knits...

9. Traveling here and there
So I may not have a car or anything, but there is the train, and I do have friends with cars, basically I'm excited to get a job in Savannah, save up and travel all over. There are so many cool places I want to go around Savannah, like Charleston! Definitely planning on going to Charleston.

10. Decorating my dorm 
This is a pretty basic one, but I am very excited to get settled in my dorm. Finding housing for this year was all over the place and took way too long to figure out, so stressful you guys, so stressful. But now that I know, I really can't wait to decorate and move right in. I'm planning on keeping things pretty simple this year, and I have a few things that I'm bringing to decorate, but you'll just have to wait and seeeee ;)

It's Tuesday, but this time instead of ten things I've found while toddling around on the internet, I'm going to share with you ten goals I've set to better myself. Recently I've gone through a pretty bad breakup, my first break up actually. And I'll be honest with you, it hurt, like crazy, like it felt like someone came in the middle of the night and took my lungs out of my chest, and I woke up unable to breathe, gasping for air. Dramatic I know, but completely serious. The depression was real.

Thank you for allowing me to be honest on this platform sans any kind of judgement. It's okay to not be okay. But today I'm going to share ten things I'm going to do to reach ultimate "okay-ness" Okay? thanks. Here we go.

Happy Tuesday! I'll be honest I love Tuesday, almost as much as I love Monday! In the summer everyday is the weekend, where Monday means a new week, and Friday just means time is flying by and this week is over. Therefor, I like Tuesdays because it's still early in the week, also I'm not working sooo hehehee..... BUT! Regardless, Tuesdays are always great because that means Ten Things Tuesday, so let's get into that...

FASHION

1. Starting off with a new spotlight blogger! I discovered Amber's blog though the Beehive Babes insta, and she is SOO COOL! I love all of her outfits, her style is amazing, and her photos are always fantastic. Girl knows what's up in the blogging world.

2. TOTALLY not getting married anytime soon, but still looking at wedding dresses. How can I not?They're all amazing. Especially this one. While I'm not super traditional, I'm a white dress kind of gal, but stilllll how beautiful is this dress?!

3. My good friend from school Bri has a fashion blog, Style Me Bri, that actually just turned one!! Go check it out and help her celebrate by givin it a follow :)

HOME

4. Ally actually shared this one with me. It's a bathroom reno and I'm in LOVE! Add a few more pops of color and I'd move in in an instant. Is it weird to buy a house just for the bathroom? Probably. Thanks Ally :)

5. If I could afford to be and had the room I would 100% be a crazy plant lady. I'm a proud owner of a few cacti and succulents, but I dream of the day when I can come home to this many big plant babies. This post gives some tips on caring for them.

MUSIC

6. If you know me you probably know I love NPR. I'm not a huge radio gal, so typically when I'm driving I'll be listening to it. Gotta love me some Dan Roberts and Melissa Block, am I right or am I right...??? SO naturally I binge watch Tiny Desk Concerts, so when I heard Violents did one I was all over it. Check it out!

7. Lana's. New. Album. enough said? enough said.

MISC.

8. I love a good flower crown, but making a real one can be tough, and buying a real one can be expensive... I love this DIY paper flower crown from The House That Lars Built.

9. I don't know why, but lately I've been craving chocolate lava cakes. I'm doing my best not to order one from Domino's, don't hate y'all they are SO good, but it's hard. In the meantime before I cave and just buy one, here is a recipe if you aren't lazy like me and actually want to make one!

10. Last but not least, as you know it's almost back to school season, so of COURSE it's about time to think about school supplies, or if you're not in school, just life supplies!! I had a Ban.do agenda this past year and am LOVING their newest designs, thinking about getting this one for myself for this year.

Happy Happy Tuesday! You know what that means here in the blogosphere right?? Ten Things Tuesday!! Yahoo! This is a somewhat mixed bag of things, but all things I'm loving this week. Let me know what you think in the comments down below!

FASHION AND BEAUTY:

1. Starting off with this beautiful braid tutorial from A Beautiful Mess, I wish my hair were long enough to do a style like this.

2. This DRESS! I love all of the beautiful colors! And anything this flowy and bright is perfect for summer.

3. BADDIE WINKLE. Honestly, need I say more? She's an inspiration, yeah she may be crass, and yeah she may wear clothes way out of my high schools dress code, but HEY she is eighty eight, living her life to the fullest, and she's way cooler than I am! Grandma goals!!

FOOD:

 4. For all the lovers of nutella, and for all the popsicle lovers, this summer sweet treat is for you!

5. If you're anything like me, when it comes to planning a trip the MOST important thing is making sure there are good restaurants to go to. Food is such an important and key way of learning about a new culture, this guide gives the top food cities in the world!! Seeing Hong Kong as #1 got me super excited for Hong Kong in the spring :))

ARTS:

6. Recently, I've been really into watching photography videos, Mango Street just made this one about how to shoot like Brandon Woelfel, pretty cool, pretty cool.

7. During my time of being sick, I for no reason made another Instagram account called @olivepink_ it's basically all things pretty and pink, peachy, and blush. Just a place with daily inspo in the best color ever. Sort of pointless, highly followable ;)

8. I've loved the artist Bodil Jane. She's an illustrator, and then makes things like, posters, cards, iphone cases, scarves, and more. Her style is so adorable, check her out!

9. As you know I love Pretty Little Liars, which unfortunatly is now over :( HOWEVER I will always continue to love and support all the liars, Troian Bellisario (my fave liar tbh) especially. Troian wrote and stared in a movie that came out YESTERDAY, and I'm SOO excited to watch it. I know this is SO illegal, but I have a link to view it for free! I'll only keep this link up for a few days just cause I don't want anything weird to happen, I don't know, but catch it while you can!!!

LIFESTYLE:

10. I LOVE Lucie Fink. She's the quirky video producer, and social media goddess at Refinery 29. She has a bit called "Living With Lucie" where she tries out different things making her life all the more interesting, she's adorable and entertaining for sure, give her a follow!!
