Happy Friday y'all!! First off, sorry for not posting yesterday! Things were honestly just so busy.... but HERE I AM! I'm excited, this weekend is ALREADY off to a great start, and I still have so many great things yet to come! Savannah Spotlight post on Monday, an outfit post tomorrow, new lookbook video on Sunday and another outfit post on Tuesday! Stay tuned, because a lot of good is upcoming :)
So starting with today; Julia, Cher, Alli and I went to this awesome pop-up shop called Elle's Urban Gypsy Trunk Show. It was such a blast. Run by the outrageously fantastic Elle who's a total gypsy goddess, we were empowered to the max! She's started her own business called The Booth Fairy, which you can check out online and on Instagram which I will be reveling more about sooooon :) It was great, if you showed up wearing a clashing outfit, then you got a discount! Tomorrow, if you wear a costume, you will get entered in an awesome giveaway, and Sunday you can swap your old clothes for some in the shop for free! How wonderful is that?! The whole place was oozing out fun, love, and magic. I loved every second! Also, my new stuff will be featured in upcoming outfit posts, so get READY!
The pop-up shop was located in Sulfer Studios at 2301 Bull St here in Savannah, and in the front of the space was the CUTEST little shop called The Hidden Hand Society, full of awesome feminist, cute, life loving goodies, it was totally my aesthetic, I NEED to go back for sure...
"Always strange, never a stranger"
The bubble machine out front was a nice touch :)
And it just gets BETTER! So you know our new pool?! Well there was a legit pool party! With floaties, a reggae band, and snowcone/food truck!! It was so wonderful, I actually managed to get a TAN!!  okay not really... I don't tan, I'm pale and that's pretty much as good as it gets, BUT I got some color and I'm feelin' good :)
Overall, today was so SO much fun! I love spending time with my ladies :) It's officially summer weather here, it was 85 and sunny today, and it just goes up from there! Also keep in mind it's humid as heck here, so that's always fun..... Anyway, as always, it's been a great time here in Savannah, I can't wait for another beautiful day tomorrow!! xo, O

PAULA BOUGHT A POOL! Okay guys, lemme give you some background, so in my dorm complex "The Hive" they have been doing construction ever since we got here, it's loud, dusty, and super busy all over the place all the time. BUT one thing that just opened up after we got back from spring break is the POOL!! It's already in the 80s here everyday and it's just going to get hotter and hotter and HOTTER. So it's safe to say the pool was a good idea. And hey, don't think we just play around, it's not just all fun and games here, SCAD is hard, I work so so incredibly hard, I'm so grateful I now have somewhere to relax and literally cool off after a hard week of work. Also I guess this is where my tuition is going.....? But anyway, It's super cute and so so aesthetically pleasing, as all SCAD facilities always are, I was excited to get out there and take pics for y'all!
Okay now let's get down to the real business here, THESE SLIDES! If you follow me on Instagram (which you totally should) you'd know I'm a brand ambassador for the company BEEHIVE we call ourselves "beehive babes" hehehe... ANYWAY! I've been obsessing over these slides on my Insta story, and I FINALLY got my hands on a pair this week and I couldn't be more excited! Like seriously, HOW cute are they??!?! SO CUTE! And here's the best part, you can get them too and for 10% OFF! Just use the code STAYFRESHOR00 online when you make your purchase. Live near a local hive? Beehive has store locations in Austin, Fortworth, and Little Rock, email me and I can send you a 10% off coupon you can print out and show in-store when you make your purchase! Easy as pie :) Enjoy and happy shopping beebabes! xo

SUNFLOWER CUPCAKES!

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

Hello SpringBabes! In honor of spring time, I made these delish sunflower cupcakes that are SO SO easy to make and even BETTER to eat! All you need is four ingredients, a cupcake pan and holders and an oven, I think you can handle that right? Right!! Let's get cooking!!
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED:
cake mix +ingredients to make that
vanilla frosting
yellow + green food coloring
oreos
HERE'S HOW TO DO IT:
bake your cupcakes! I did strawberry just because that is my favorite flavor and the pink is so so cute!

Once totally cooled, split Oreos in half and place in the center of the cupcakes

Mix in two bowls, almost all frosting and yellow coloring for petals, and some frosting and green coloring for leaves

Pipe on one row on the outside of yellow for the first row of petals, and then right up to the Oreo, but not over the Oreo, pipe another layer of yellow, either over top or in between, pipe out the green frosting for the leaves.
AND THAT'S LITERALLY IT! I'm not any kind of expert cake decorator, like what so ever... And I REALLY don't know why SCAD doesn't have that at least as a minor, because it's a serious art, and not an easy one at that! Come on SCAD, step it up...

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy these! Be warned though, with all the frosting and what not, the Oreo can get somewhat soggy after a few days, so eat them up quickly :) And of COURSE, Enjoy!!!!! Let me know if you make them what you think by tagging me on Instagram, emailing me or really WHATEVER!

CHEERS TO MONDAY

Monday, March 27, 2017

Hello pretty chickies! Congrats on making it through Monday! I love how everyone on social media, and just in life in general loves hating on Mondays. Okay I don't love it necessarily, but I just find it funny how every week when Monday rolls around the whole world is posting things like "Monday already?" or "Monday is almost over!" "Ugh Monday be like: *some dead thing" I don't know, maybe it's just in the blogging community, but I just see a general hate for Monday's on my feed every week. But seriously guys, what's to hate!!?? Monday is the start of a brand new, beautiful week full of opportunities, chances, experiences, and adventures! Side note, I know calendars do it and all, but like if you count Sunday as the first day of the week you need to go, that's just not how it works, I'm sorry but no, Sunday is the end of the week... Anyway, I love Mondays, it's so nice to start fresh and take on whatever challenges and projects the week has in store for me, so hey, let's knock off the Monday hate, here's to Monday, CHEERS TO MONDAY!

Okay enough about Mondays, hahaa.... These two outfits I'm sharing with you today are a part of a lookbook video I shot with my mom while I was back in Richmond a few days ago. Shoutout to the #1 Mama for cooperating with me changing in the car and reshooting and reshooting when my camera didn't want to cooperate either!

As always, black and white patterns will forever be my thing, or at least one my favorite things, so this lookbook is based off of black, white and red! It actually started with an outfit not featured here. I originally wanted just a spring style video, but once I started putting that outfit together they just all came naturally to me and I was so so excited because I fell so in love with these two!
The red dress was actually my PROM dress junior year, lol, go prom... and the crinoline skirt I'm wearing underneath I got to wear to my senior prom but ended up wearing something else and am LOVING wearing the two together! Where was this skirt junior year prom?!?! Also I feel like this outfit is #sobeehive... more on what THAT means soon ;)
Okay okay okay, can you say STATEMENT PANTS?! I'm SO beyond obsessed with these. Gifted to me from my grandma as a hand-me-down, I am SO grateful for her stylish genes (jeans heh) I guess it runs in the family ;) But also can I get some props for creativity on this outfit because not only am I wearing KILLER pants, but my top is actually a dress layered with a lingerie-y top over it tucked into the pants, and my choker is just a piece of ribbon I safety pinned together. So BANG BANG Who's the DIY queen now?! Me clearly.... But basically I'm in total love with this outfit and I can't wait to wear it again and again and AGAIN!
AND THAT'S ALL FOLKS!!! Sending all my Monday love to those of you with the Monday blues! May your week be full of love, laughter, new experiences, friends, family, love and all around good times :) Here's to the best! Xo, O

p.s. peep the curly hair... another current obsession- CURLS!!! Wearing my hair around like this all day was SO much fun. I love mixing it up! What's your favorite hairstyle?
