The Tides Inn // Chapter Five // Linger Around

Today was our last day at The Tides Inn
sadly :(
It was so much fun though, I thought that I was missing a lot this weekend at home with my friends, but honestly, it is pretty rare just to go to a resort for a weekend. This morning, once again waking up late, we rolled out of bed, showered, and headed down to the buffet for breakfast. It was super delicious, I made waffles and had a ton of fruit.

We stayed longer than expected, after breakfast we socialized and packed up all of our things. Then I went on a bike ride avec mi pops. After that we went swinging and then relaxed in our room. I realized that I never used my rollerblades during the entire trip! Sooo... I slipped 'em on and roller bladed up to the out door front desk for complimentary pink lemonade and cookies. We left at about two o'clock. We got kinda lost... oops. But then we swung by our cottage because my grandma is coming in town so we had to spiffy up. Then on our way home again.

This is our only family photo from the entire trip! And of course we are all sleepy and squinty eyed from the sun, thanks mr. golden sun.

Over all it was a fabulous weekend, I can't wait to go back soon!!

Hey there!
Tonight we are having a little bit of a dinner and dancing soirée. I'm pretty excited to say I'll be whipping out my eighth grade graduation dress for it. I forgot to pack my hair straightener on Thursday... so my hair is kinda doing it's own thing, but I think I like it!

It's very spiny :)
Not sure though if I will get the chance to spin it though... (foreshadowing..?)

Selfies are my friend

I got some sweet earrings in the shop today, they are old typewriter keys! I know what your thinking, "Olivia, you are normally a saver when it comes to buying things like this, and resort stores tend to be so pricey!" (basically I'm a mind reader) Let me tell you, these earrings were priced down so much it's scary...... drum roll....... from sixty one dollars....... to.....
three.
LIKE WOAH

heading over!
aww yeah photo bomb

The resort owners daughter got married tonight so the reception was right down the hall! Some how we managed to walk in right in time for a picture... and some awkward you-aren't-supposed-to-be-here looks.

Dat Veg Life.

Showing off our swing dancing skills! Everyone was impressed ;)

It was such a great night, everything was so much fun. I even got to spin my skirt on the dance floor! Thanks Saunders :)

Tomorrow is our last day, I hope we do something fun! (we will)

The Tides Inn // Chapter Three // The Daily Adventure (struggle)

In the afternoon it was rainy, it rained a lot last night but then once it cleared up it was adventure time.

I went paddle boarding! Papa and I went out on the River and paddle boarded! It was so much fun, at first It was scary. Honestly though, what I was thinking the entire time was that four letter word that begins with an F... yeah you know... FISH. I hate hate HATE fish so much, they are terrifying. I kept seeing them jump out of the water every now and then and continued to get scared if they were to jump onto my paddle board. Ahhh!! They are so so scary! That is why you will never ever see me swimming in the ocean or some huge body of water that goes past my legs... not even, like ankles.

Other than that though it was really fun :)

Later that afternoon...
I went out with Papa and Saunders and we played a smashing round of Disc Golf. It was actually really hard, I have awful aim, but it was really fun. I have played at camp but the holes aren't as complicated.

Score! I'm pretty sure this picture was when I totally failed a shot.... you know... because of the wind....

There was a line of three trees all with swings in them, hidden away and very pleasing.

Once we came back from our game there were cookies and lemonade at the outdoor desk for anyone to take. Everyone here is so nice! And the cookies were fabulous, most definitely increased my cookie crave.

Not sure what we are doing tonight, but I'll keep ya posted!

The Tides Inn // Chapter Two // Morning Munching

Good Morning!

This morning I woke up at I'd say 11:30... yeah that is so late, normally I wake up at 7:30-8, but we have blackout curtains in our room so I just stayed asleep! Eventually though, I woke up and there was a note saying, "Morning sleepyheads! We are down at breakfast, come meet us! :)" from my parents. I got dressed and headed down to breakfast. It was really good, sadly though they weren't serving breakfast anymore so I had a salad, but it was still good :)

Pwetty Mama

Poppsies!

And then, shocker! I got a brownie hot fudge sundae, casually delicious!

About an hour later, look who showed up! Saunders!

In the long run... it's all fun and games, until someone spills their water (ps yeah, it's always me)

The Tides Inn // Chapter One // Awkward and Happy

So this weekend we traveled down to The Tides Inn for a weekend of fun! Fun? Well... actually yes, you see it is for my dad's work retreat, and so far it has actually been great! Hearing the worlds "work retreat" they don't sound too great... meeting a bunch of people saying, "wow you have grown so much how's school been?" and all you can think of is, "I have never met you in my life..." over and over again, shaking so many hands...

So yeah, it was really awkward and not too fun for like the first 30 minutes. As it would be for a teenager in a world of adults and small children running and screaming. (Well the adults weren't screaming.. you know what I mean)

Saunders and I explored both in and out of all the buildings, it was really fun, and so so pretty.

Despite my lack of chess knowledge what so ever (even though I was on the chess team in third grade, yeah it's whatevs, I was a pro no big deal.) We found a huge chess set up and played, well more or less attempted to play.

Later, Saunders and I went on a bike ride around the resort and it's town. The bike have those low handles which made it super neato.

Look! No hands!! I know by best friend Ally would be impressed...

Helmet selfies!

Look! No feet! (no feet on the pedals..) This was really fun but not the safest seeing how the brake was a back pedal... sooo....

And then back to the Tides Inn

It is really super pretty here.

There are our little houses! :)

Not to mention room service/complimentary cookies and brownies!

Until next time! :)
